Posted about this climb before — here’s the fuller story. Mt. Fuji has five distinct stages on the way up. They map almost exactly onto the five stages of grief. 🧵 below

4/ Depression is standing at a torii gate at 3000m and realizing the only thing you actually want isn’t the summit. It’s peace.

5/ Acceptance isn’t arriving. It’s a marker stone alone in the fog — and knowing some feelings you spend your whole life finding your way back to. Full piece: arashdeep.in/2026/05/31/from…

A 25-year-old man collapsed in the sun. What followed was a brutal fight in the ICU — lungs drowning in fluid, kidneys failing, and a family clinging to hope. But we lost him. Heat stroke doesn’t warn, doesn’t spare the strong. A sobering reminder as temperatures rise. #HeatStroke #CriticalCare #Heatwaves
In ICU, we strive to save patients. Miracles do happen, but often the outcomes are not good. We lose patients, and the scars they leave behind haunt us forever. Sharing 1 such story of hope, despair, and personal loss. arashdeep.in/2025/12/26/from… #MedTwitter #HeatStroke #PersonalStories

This is a feel good thing. This shows how much do you listen to an artist as well as how “much” you listen to the music. Protect ears please 😋

I spotted this gem by Norman Rockwell called “Road Block” at a cozy little coffee shop in a suburb of Nagasaki. It shows a stubborn little bulldog just chilling in the middle of the street, holding up a whole line of traffic — including a bright red Pepies delivery truck — while the driver tries to gently shoo him away. Total small-town vibes. This 1949 classic was hanging right above an old-school Kyoto Style cold brew coffee machine. You see it everywhere now on wooden signs and vintage-style prints. Such a random, fun mix of American nostalgia and Japanese suburb life — it seriously made my day. ☕🐶 #Nagasaki #Woodenart #Photo
