Im tired of hearing the media talk about DUKE and Kentucky. Its corny and boring. I call that lazy Journalism. Tu is going tu do something more interesting and harder. Tu is going tu discuss his top mid major schools for this upcoming season!
1. VCU – Great fan support, solid NIL backing, strong facilities, and a winning culture put them at the top of my list. The Rams are still one of the best schools and always find a way tu compete
2. Gonzaga – one of the premier mid majors in the country with excellent recruiting and player development. With all the changes in college They remains a national brand that can fight with anyone.
3. Saint Mary's – Tough, disciplined and always well coached. Randy Bennett has built one of the most dependable programs in college and they keep winning through player development and continuity.
4. Dayton – Amazing fan base and plenty of talent. They have one of the best home courts in the sport and continue tu bring in quality players.
5. High Point – They've invested heavily in basketball and are gaining momentum fast. They're not the school anymore when their name comes up. You say WHO!
6. Grand Canyon – Strong support, great facilities and solid recruiting. They have become a legitimate contender with a passionate fan base and growing national attention.
7. McNeese – Athletic, fearless and playing with a ton of swag. Their recent success has changed expectations and made them a team nobody wants tu face.
8. Liberty – Keeps winning through discipline and experience. Ex UVA assistant has built a program that stays competitive year after year. Great Job!
9. Utah State – Ask Ryan Odom. One of the most successful schools that always seem tu reload and stay in the mix.
10. Santa Clara – Quietly turning intu a strong program. Better recruiting and steady development have helped them keep climbing.
11. Yale – Smart, fundamentally sound and consistently wins. Yale continues tu show what good coaching and development can do!
12. Belmont – Always competitive and has a strong culture. Their focus on team ball and fundamentals keeps them relevant.
13. College of Charleston – Talented program with rising expectations. They have proven they can recruit, develop players and compete for titles.
14. Akron – A winner that probably doesn't get enough credit. Their success in conference play speaks for itself.
15. Drake – Strong culture and sustained success. They have earned a lot of respect across the Midwest.
16. UNC Wilmington – A program that's clearly trending upward. Continued improvement and solid recruiting have them in a good spot moving forward.
17. Bradley – Tough, physical and overlooked. They bring defensive intensity and a competitive edge every time they step on the court.
18. Loyola Chicago – Strong foundation and a proven track record of development. They've shown they can compete on a national stage.
19. North Texas – Their elite defense keeps them in just about every game. That identity allows them tu hang with teams that may have more talent on paper.
20. Nevada-has the resources and history tu be successful. They remain a respected program with room tu move even higher.
21. UC San Diego – One of the fastest rising programs around. Their overall growth and structure made them a team worth watching.
22. James Madison – Getting better year after year. They continue tu build momentum and establish themselves as a reliable winner.
23. Princeton – Smart, experienced and dangerous. Their style of play and IQ make them a tough matchup for anyone.
24. Furman – Well coached and always prepared. They get the most out of their talent and compete at a high level.
25. Northern Iowa – Reliable and consistently competitive. Their long history of success earns them a spot on Tu's list.
I almost added San Francisco and UC IRVINE. UVA fans should know why. LOL
