Depends if some criteria is required for something being "a trauma" or not. If the term is sufficiently vague and inflated it is hard to stop anybody from defining themselves as traumatized. Possibly if one truly belive but misattribute symptoms for some benefit/compensation

Seems like a fairly semantic distinction if all the qualitative capacities are preserved but just have different labels. In the popular psyche narcissism denotes the grandiose extreme end, do we lose anything important by going along? Just curious, not necessarily in disagreement

One line of reasoning might be that it encourages simplistic, either-or-thinking, and people would be better off if they are capable of thinking more in terms of degrees and and avoid undue pathologizing. Might be important in this sense?

Please also chime in regarding ongoing studies or historic literature on negative effects. For the record, not at all meant as an anti-psychedelics tweet. Just curious regarding this area in addition to the positive/therapeutic effects.
