WSJ reporter Daniel Pearl was kidnapped by jihadists in Pakistan twenty years ago today — Jan. 23, 2002 — while he was investigating al-Qaeda post-9/11. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed — the mastermind of 9/11 who is still sitting down in Gitmo awaiting trial — beheaded him 9 days later.
