Greatest Offensive Players of All-Time ๐Ÿงต This is an attempt to look at a players entire career value, strictly on the offensive end. This is NOT an attempt to rank a players offensive peak, nor will it be based on arbitrary factors such as ones "bag" or "more skill". Enjoy.

Everybody cooking you even though all of this is fairly reasonable and accurate archetypes. Would probably go over a lot smoother if there wasnโ€™t an archetype per player tbh

This just a bouncier Lu Dort (super mid) at best and thatโ€™s if he can go from a 32% to 39% 3P shooter like Lu did. He doesnโ€™t generate turnovers, doesnโ€™t have a handle, not a playmaker, not a rim-protector. Just corner sits and maybe gets 1-2 dunks. โ€œHad Shai in hellโ€ ๐Ÿ˜ญ

This is just not true lol Iโ€™ve made it very well known at my job Iโ€™m a Thunder fan and Iโ€™ve got dozens of coworkers who have never watched basketball telling me they hate Shai and his flopping lmao
Iโ€™m very positive Shai has not shot into the โ€œcoworker who doesnโ€™t even watch the NBA but will go out their way to tell you they hate Bronโ€ stratosphere. And Iโ€™m more than willing to bet he never will.

If the Spurs arenโ€™t winning the Wemby v Shai minutes by 10 points they will lose. Their bench is just outclassed. Last two games theyโ€™ve gone even in those minutes.

Theyโ€™re cooking you but I know what you mean. This isnโ€™t a physically slow thing, his mental processing has always been below average for a star. Not a good playmaker or off-ball talent.

Ant is way too fucking slow man everything he does is too slow. He walks the ball up the floor waits for the double makes the pass late and then just stands at halfcourt for the rest of the possession

Went from arguing he should make his first all star game to having a top 3 guard peak ever man Special times in OKC Iโ€™ll never forget this

Iโ€™m calling it now weโ€™re winning the playoffs in 20 games or less. Adding McCain gives this team an element we were missing Caso/Wiggs/Joe development on O and D. Offense will be much more immune to playoff coverages. Mark just needs to not sell.
If Tubs is back to full speed before April itโ€™s ova for the league

This is great except for the fact that last season was JDub's least efficient offensive season of his career, and it got much worse in the playoffs This year his unassisted rate is the highest its ever been once again, and he's averaging 17.3 PPG on 53% TS (5% below league avg)
29 Dec 2025
In the playoffs last season, 56.7% of Jalen Williamsโ€™ made buckets were unassisted. Thatโ€™s a higher rate than Jimmy Butler, Anthony Edwards, Kawhi Leonard, Alperen Sengun, Nikola Jokic and many others. The idea that he canโ€™t create for himself is just not true. Oh, and that unassisted rate jumped to 67.3% in the Finals, when he stepped up even more as a primary scorer.

All I need is an atg playoff run and I will be so shameless
Heโ€™s literally a basketball god.

85% of his shots are unassisted, heโ€™s scoring 35 pts/75 on 10 rTS%. And he may finish with 50/40/90. 2019 Harden was 87% unassisted, 36 pts/75 and 5 rTS%. 44/37/88 splits. 3yr peak- Shai: 33 pts/75, 6 rTS%, 80% unassisted Harden: 34 pts/75, 6 rTS%, 85% unassisted
He really is entering GOAT on ball scoring talks now that I think about it

Stat nerds donโ€™t even agree with this. I should clarify, the โ€œonly checks box scores and RAPM to formulate their entire opinionโ€ nerds donโ€™t even agree with this. Real stat nerds actually use context Hartenstein is like 15th or lower in every impact metric. This is just ragebait
Stat nerds desperately trying to create an advanced stat for everything is how we get top 6 MVP Isaiah Hartenstein

Finally experiencing an ounce of what SGA does every game lol Shai plays 47% of his minutes with 1 or fewer starters, and Jokic is at 26% this season. It's 22% vs 3% with 0 starters. Last year it was 35%/13% vs 15%/1%.
Replying to @PranavSriraman
the bench lineups have stayed relatively the same with val bruce and thj and sometimes jamal or cam. jokic is playing more minutes with guys like โ€œNnajiโ€ whoโ€™s tanking jokic lineups and defense being much worse w/o AG

This isnโ€™t even considering Shai has noticeably leveled up on film and statistically this szn. I fully believe it wonโ€™t be close peak4peak after this year. Its def close, But Shai already matches (or at least comes close) in the โ€˜offs and exceeds in the Reg Szn at their peaks.
Get off this stat inflation era buddy. Shai went fron 64% TS last regular season to 57% TS in the playoffs. Kobe averaged 57% TS for 3 straight finals runs with worse supporting cast, worse spacing, facing better defenses and playing hurt

Idk why this is sparking so much controversy? Yeah Shai isnโ€™t top 10 if he retired after this season, but heโ€™s certainly having one of the 5-8 best peaks ever. So is Jokic Every statistical measure agrees with that and the film is there to back it up PRA fried peoples brains
Unfortunately for him his entire prime will align with 2 top 10 talents off all time both of whom are flat out better than him and never miss games He will never get a top 2 MVP finish and thats ok

LeBron was never the best defender itl but I think you can make arguments for Wilt post-Bills retirement. Kareem in the 70s, and Hakeem in 94/95. Kareem is the only one Iโ€™m confident was at one point.
Other than LeBron, has there ever been a player that was the best offensive AND defensive player in the NBA at the same time?

tbf, the league average TS% is almost entirely boosted by role players embracing the 3P/Layup or bust mentality improved training for them. The stars of the league haven't taken much of a jump. Shai's 68% TS is (almost) just as insane. rTS% just not as meaningful past 2020.
24
Since the first two 2OT games to start the year, Shai has been having the BEST scoring season ever. In 16 games: 34.8 Pts/75 on 68.7% TS *Last 13 its 35.7 on 70.4% Last year? 33.8 on 63.9% Curry in 2016? 31.1 on 67.7% He's at 35.1 on 67.2% on the season now. Unreal.

If weโ€™re doing total touchdowns, why not total yards? Where Caleb is ahead. Or show interceptions, where Caleb has less than half? Not to mention the flukiest 6 TD performance from Trubisky in his 18th GP against the worst defense itl (whose offense turned it over 3 times)
OHHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOO
