My honest opinion with this is that I actually do agree with it. I'll take it a step further: my plan as the Timberwolves would be to start Beringer and Naz Reid next season.
Take a step back. Develop your youth. Trade Randle and Gobert for assets you can use later.

It seems Giannis Antetokounmpo is heading to Boston, with Jaylen Brown likely being rerouted to Atlanta.
This would give Milwaukee the 8th, 10th and 23rd overall picks most likely along with a ton of future draft capital. Would have to think two future 1sts from Boston along with two picks this year and a pick or two from Atlanta for Jaylen Brown.
If I had to make any predictions, I think this deal gets finalized by mid next week

Celtics could easily just say things like “we won a championship with JB and JT”, “JB was in the MVP convo last season”, “Why would we break up JB and JT to go after Giannis and his injury concerns”. But Brad Stevens is smart and isn’t letting narratives get in the way of winning

The Minnesota Timberwolves would be fools to make the reported Giannis trade floating around. Jaden McDaniels, Joan Beringer, Terrence Shannon Jr. and any draft capital can't just be given away for a player who has had the injury issues the last few seasons the way Giannis has.
