Speaking of tree coverage- I wanted to check out the tree plantings from the @SaportaReport article pushing back on what was added in English Avenue.
Agree is of interest to share tree types as selections with neighborhoods- but it’s not always done. North Ave section shown here

Now the section between Jett & Western, with decent skyline views, you may need to zoom in on some of the pics, however was HEAVILY planted.
Seems like the area may become a new shaded park-space with circular day-lit area.

I need more Atlanta cafes & restaurants to be screaming if they have TVs for the World Cup matches.
I’ve been in other cities where TVs are more abundant- but tbh Atlanta seems like you can visit a lot without.

I'm thinking of Le Colonial in Buckhead Village because they advertised televising the Atlanta FIFA games (they open at 12pm when the first game at Mercedes Benz happens). I'm not sure yet. Le Colonial is a bit expensive though. I'm looking at a few other spots. Bonegarden Cantina is in competition.

When youre on Broad street, you can see the station straight up ahead. I like that the Garnett station now has a distinct use aside from those going to the greyhound station.

Atlanta’s massive Hill St property mentioned- directly on the @AtlantaBeltline’s Southside Trail.
The city has various underused sites that could be sold or air rights leased for development, new town squares, house THOUSANDS such as our service workers, families, unhoused…

I have the same question for that block in addition to the block MLK directly east of Northside Drive.
Connect our Westside neighbors directly with Downtown.
A block short is not good enough.
Saying “but the wide sidewalk that exists” THAT GETS BLOCKED BY EVENT FENCES… 🤦♂️
They also left the block between MLK and International without dedicated space. COP Drive bike lane ends at International. Why don’t they connect the two?

I will be at some bar of some restaurant on the Beltline when the first game starts. I'm not a soccer person by any stretch of the imagination but after seeing people excited about FIFA coming to the ATL, I want get into the aura.

Garnett Station has new fare gates up, though emergency gate also open.
I like the MARTA designed planters, seating, trees, & shade structures (though shade structures could be larger and more available.
Pattern on the ground coming up a smidge already.

Stopped counting how many people I passed on wheels today at 241. Was ~2/3 my route, before lunch, & well before Atlanta Streets Alive.
Same amount of cars on the street would equate a mile a traffic, not counting for street crossings.
More people outside cars = less traffic.
