The try from Russell's kick should have been checked, surely? He was nowhere near the mark @rugbyontnt #SalevBath

That's me out of here completely. I had already moved to Bluesky but will now close this account. Musk and his apologists are dangerous and they seem to forget that 2 MPs, one from each major party, have been killed while on constituency business #shameful

Hi @JasonManford, I am writing a magazine feature on padel in Cheshire. I know you love to play and promote it and am hoping we can have a chat.

And to make it a fair comparison, after 22 games each season. We have the second least points total at this point in the season since relegation, conceded joint 2nd most goals after 22 games And sit in our joint 2nd worst position after 22 games.

Lovely tribute front page to George Eastham in today's Sentinel marred by the modern practice of an advert wrap around front and back pages. I'm commercially savvy but modern life can be rubbish.

I see that Wales are playing South Africa at Rugby Union at 5:40... or, as it's otherwise known, the score prediction ๐Ÿ˜‰

See you on Mr Bluesky? Anyone who grew up in the Seventies will recognise the gif.

Winding down much of my Twitter/X use because the little rocket man who runs it has made it very depressing. I have an account on Bluesky but it will be mostly personal posts - news, sport, music, and basic nonsense posts.

Hi, I'm Trevor from BxxxxxxxUK, I just wanted to reach out personally and thought this was the best way to get in touch with you - I was hoping to speak with either yourself, Head / Manager of Operations or Manufacturing? Do you think Trevor does any research?

He ran a pipe into the mosque from a nearby gas meter in a bid to spark an explosion. But he told the court he didn't think his views were extreme. Blimey!
A man who pleaded guilty to taking part in disorder over the summer previously tried to blow up a mosque, it has emerged. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c3deโ€ฆ

Regarding Lineker, some may moan about his political views, others about his salary, but it cannot be denied that he transformed successfully from a master striker to a brilliant broadcaster. That isn't easy, as many have tried and not quite nailed it.

My own rule has always been to use surnames for party leaders, Thatcher. Kinnock, Corbyn, May, etc, etc. Any familiarity is just wrong.

First it was 'Boris'. Then it was 'Rishi'. And now it's 'Kemi.' Am idly wondering why this is the case (populism or just unusual 1st names?) and whether the Conservatives will ever again elect a leader who isn't rapidly and routinely referred to by their first name in the media?

Isn't this all simply essential? Pleased to see he was in Paris today. Symbolic in terms of relationship building post-brexit.
How much time has Keir Starmer been out of the country? Since Sept 1 Keir Starmer has been in: Ireland 1 day Italy 2 days Washington 2 days Berlin - 1 day Brussels - 1 day UNGA - 3 days Samoa - 5 days Budapest - 1 day France / COP - 2 days Next week G7 - 4 daysย  22 days on overseas trips since start of Sept to next Wednesday in that 77 day period.ย  In that same period the Commons sat 34 days This isnโ€™t judgement about whether this is right or wrong (and we discuss pros and cons in the podcast)

Regardless of whether it be a Labour or Tory MP, I think it's time for #bbclaurak to stop pulling out those old quotes criticising Trump. Everyone did it, even the chap chosen by Trump as running mate. Trump is the most savage critic of others. It's dreadful but it's a game.
