I’ve been a bit quiet as regards new work, but I can finally show my latest piece, Moon & Hare.
This was a particularly difficult work, three separate plates, three different blues. I’ve been VERY distracted by the print, thinking how I can make it work.

With Halloween done, it’s time for - THE YULE CAT!!!
The Yule Cat, known as Jólakötturinn, a huge & vicious cat who is described as lurking about the snowy countryside of Iceland during Xmas time and eating people who have not received any new clothes to wear before Xmas Eve.

The ones who took part in the work would be rewarded with new clothes, but those who did not would get nothing and thus be preyed upon by the monstrous cat. The cat has alternatively been described as merely eating away the food of ones without new clothes during Xmas feasts!

Nice to see my Octopus print centre stage for the @guardian excellent review of @empirecafeleeds today! It’s always a thrill to see my art in the wild, but more so when such a superb establishment is getting a much deserved nod from the great @jayrayner1

It might be raining but it’s warm & dry in this stunning venue, an amazing mix of ancient & modern.
This is a new event for me so fingers crossed!
