A new resident arrived this week, our socially creative activity gave him opportunity to meet new people. Itโs been great to see individuals designing and facilitating the activities themselves, taking ownership of what goes on in their community ๐๐ป #ProgressionPIPE

A little late but we recently said a sad farewell to our operational lead who has been with us the last few years & contributed to massive developments on the unit ๐๐ป He will be missed hugely but will no doubt take some of the PIPE ethos into his next role ๐ And welcome...

What a busy week.. transfers for 4 of our men to open prisons; such a huge step in their journey but one theyโve prepared for over a no of years. Weโre now trying to improve our follow up process by liaising with our #OPDpathway colleagues so we can continue to provide support ๐๐ป

We attended a multidisciplinary meeting today regarding a man being transferred to the PIPE; lots of discussion about this transition & how to best support him. Lots of support from @HmpHull & our healthcare partners to put effective plans in place ๐๐ป #OPDpathway #ProgressionPIPE

Last week we celebrated 10 years of @HullPIPE! We held a couple of small events with colleagues involved with the service including a visit from previous PIPE staff! It was such a brilliant occasion to look back on the last 10 years & all that the staff & residents have achieved!

Today we heard from a previous resident whoโs getting on well in open conditions. He sent a letter to explain the transition and to help reduce anxieties of others waiting to transfer, he still feels a part of the community despite having left us some months ago! #ProgressionPIPE

A positive week.. recruited a new enthusiastic PIPE officer, various committee meetings held planning future events and exploring ways to improve communication during current times, lots of staff supervision, ending with a purposeful meeting with our commissioner ๐๐ป #OPDPathway
