Rising abortion numbers in Texas? Isn’t it illegal to have an abortion in Texas for the past couple years now? Maybe we missed something. Please advise.

Brian Bodine should never serve as a delegate, precinct chair, or be in charge of anything ever again in the @TexasGOP.

Right now debating removing “natural born” from Plank 10 on serving in office other than President or Vice President. Out cry vote, went to standing vote. Amendment passes. Can’t believe we had to do this when the Constitution is clear.

So he takes a picture with the Chair-elect and then doesn’t mention the Chair-elect at all.
GM! It’s a great day to be a Texas Republican. I’ve spoken to hundreds of delegates at the @TexasGOP convention and no one (including me) saw every primary and party candidate they supported win. All of us are united to support the entire ticket and win in November.

An antisemitic group is trying to remove the word “antisemitism” from the platform. This is the text that just went out moments ago that I received.

Long post: Yesterday at the #TexasGOPConvention I was in the Exhibit Hall with my wife and daughter. It was there I noticed a young man about 30 feet away smiling and almost laughing at me. I shrugged it off. Almost two hours later, after the conclusion of the last general session of the day, we had returned to Exhibit Hall C to finish up some looking around the booths. As we left the hall, that same young man walked past me, pointed to the yarmulke on top of my head, and said, “When the next Crusades happen, we are taking back the Holy Land.” I turned around and asked him to repeat himself. He repeated word for word. While the crusades were about purging Muslims from the Holy Land and especially Jerusalem, he made it clear that just like the knights of the crusades felt Muslims were an infection, so were Jews considered an infection by this guy. You could feel it all in the air, the stench of antisemitism. I called back out as he continued to walk away that he should find his swastika armband, and that he should be removed from the convention. He never faced me and picked up his pace walking away. That’s what happens with antisemites. They are cowards….and tiny. Earlier in the day, I posted about a group called “Texans Right To Know” and questioned why that group, which is a antisemitic conspiracy group, was given exhibit hall space. This incident proves that better vetting, or just vetting at all, needs to happen for conventions. Plank 283 of the proposed platform says the following: “We strongly, condemn the rise and antisemitism that has spread worldwide.” That antisemitism reared its ugly head at this convention. I do want to say thank you to the other delegates that we’re passing by who witnessed what happened, and offered encouraging words. It goes without saying that the Republican Party of Texas state convention should be the last place that antisemitism should be given any kind of space. Last night I filed an official complaint with our incoming SRECs for SD1 as well as notifying the executive Director of the Republican Party of Texas @mcavanaughster #thatjew

A source has told me that Chair elect Randall contacted Rachel Hooper and asked for her resignation. In typical Hooper nastiness she responded, “you’re not the chairman yet.” At this point, she should fire her from the stage.
As the Marion County Republican Party Chairman, and as lead of the delegation from Marion County, I call on Rachel Hooper to resign effective immediately.

Good evening everyone. I am at the RPT 2026 convention. In looking over the proposed platform, the mentioning of our posture towards Israel is plank 283. The language was significantly upgraded in my opinion to state “we could strongly condemn the rise in antisemitism that has spread worldwide.” In the 2024 convention, the members of the platform committee could not bring themselves to insert the word “antisemitism”. This platform committee in 2026 has been able to do with the 2024 committee was unable to do. A very big THANK YOU from #thatjew to members of this committee that made this happen.

Why is Texas Right To Know, an antisemitic organization, allowed to have exhibit space at the Texas GOP convention? Antisemitism runs counter to our party beliefs and values. #thatjew

Overheard at convention: “Rachel Hooper’s resignation has already been requested.”

RT @JREakin: That $600k in debt @TexasGOP is in for convention? It’s going to get worse. Dunn likely kept the payoff as a marker, they’ll…

In 2024 SD1 has 381 delegates at convention. This year, after our first Senate district caucus, 187. That is a little over 50% reduction in delegates just from our Senate district alone. SD one comprises 19 counties in East Texas If you are not following this website to understand what’s going on with party structure, you will begin to understand that we need to #fixtexasGOP. fixtexasgop.com/

USA. A Mexican restaurant. We had not yet ordered anything, and the food was already arriving. Chips. Salsa. Unrequested. Free. I stopped the waiter. "We have not earned these." "They just come with the table, man." They come with the TABLE. In my land, hospitality is a debt. Every gift creates an obligation, weighed carefully, returned in the proper season with interest of feeling. Here, the gift arrives before you have even proven you can pay for dinner. This is not an appetizer. This is a declaration: we trust you. Eat. I ate with the gravity the moment deserved. And then — I must report this calmly — the basket emptied, and a new one appeared. "Did we…?" "Refill," the waiter said. "It's bottomless." Bottomless. They have wells of salsa. The supply lines of this nation are beyond anything my ancestors imagined. My friend warned me. "Don't fill up on chips, dude." Too late. I had accepted three baskets. Honor demanded each one be finished — an unfinished gift is an insult. By the time my actual food arrived, I was a ruined man. I was not hungry. I was not comfortable. I had been defeated by a courtesy. Generosity that arrives before the request cannot be repaid. It can only be survived. I know the rule now. I have made my peace with the basket. One basket. Two at the most. Who am I deceiving. There is no number of baskets I would refuse. The trust of a nation is in that salsa, and I intend to honor all of it.

It looks like the legislative priorities committee has refined some of their choices. Water resources has been included. I for one am happy to see that but rural Republicans we still need to be vigilant on this.
So these are the legislative priorities? Not one single line item about protecting water resources. I hope that rural Republicans are paying attention. Water resources is a kitchen table issue all over the state for those of us who live in rural Texas. And it’s not even in the top 15 of ones that they are considering. But they want to regulate AI, you know, the thing that’s heavily reliant upon water? To leave out securing water resources, displays a galactic level of tone deafness.
