πIn 1940, at just 16, Margaret joined the army by adding a couple of years to her age!
π As a cook on bases in the RAF, she served the heroic Dam Busters, met King George VI and survived Luftwaffe bombs!

π Today Porthcawl RNLI Lifeboat station celebrated 200 years of the RNLI saving lives at sea.
π Porthcawl's brave crews, all volunteers, have saved a phenomenal 597 lives during that time!
