Carrier critics: Aircraft Carriers (which move) are "sitting ducks" in today's ISR saturated, precision strike environment Also carrier critics: Shore-based air (which operates from static airfields) is the solution. youtube.com/watch?v=bAnhSkHR…

Yes. India for all its NatSec dysfunctions, wasn't going to join a US military misadventure over Taiwan. The US MIC will, despite DJT selling out allies/partners in Asia, still find a way to wage war over Taiwan. And suffer a fourth strategic defeat in Asia, just this century.
I agree completely with the decision and this article. Reverting to PACOM is focusing US attention on the right AOR. India was never going to join the strategic alliances in East Asia.

Induction tour has started? What is his TL commitment to delivering on his predecessor's unfulfilled commitments?
General NS Raja Subramani, Chief of Defence Staff, undertook his maiden visit to the Western Naval Command @IN_WNC to review operational preparedness and maritime security initiatives. During the visit, he held detailed discussions with VAdm Sanjay Vatsayan, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command and other senior officers, on operational readiness, capability development, and emerging security challenges. Back in New Delhi after a great trip to the G7 in France. Lots of positive outcomes between the United States and India!

Where is the singular pointed call for action for Pradhan to go? Anyway, "mass mobilisation" and Prashan's removal is what was promised. Your funeral if you can't deliver...yet again.

Sounds too incompetent to be true? It is true.
Excl:Bangladesh PM’s adviser Zahed ur Rahman was stopped at Delhi airport as his name was on ‘blacklist’ generated by MEA in 2025, which the ministry forgot?/did not withdraw before his India arrival on June 14. This led the immigration authorities to stop him following a system-generated alert against his name, govt sources told The Hindu. Was allowed to enter India eventually but chose to return. was here to attend a multi lateral conf of IORA, whose current chair is India. Bangladesh nominated him to lead the conference. thehindu.com/news/national/b…

😀 Right on cue. But being foggy headed about each other is intrinsic to the Indo-Pak blood-feud. Enjoy the victory but strategic contestation evolves. India will get rid of the current clowns that rule us at some point. But will Pak citizens get rid of theirs?
From ‘Indo-Pacific’ counterweight to China… to ‘Pacific Command’ good-for-nothing burden. Bharat has a short walk from Net Security Provider on a high horse of hubris to peripheral afterthought. Bharat brought no tangible muscle against rivals or in crises like Iran. US foreign policy has taken a logical turn. Lesson: The higher the horse, the harder the fall. 🇵🇰 Reality > Rhetoric. @MEAIndia 1/2

India is not the only nation that is in multiple camps. India has aligned with the US multiple times. But to create an Indi-US ( JP) compact vs PRC required a level of competence that was beyond them, especially India. An inability to process complexity and solve for it
The US is fundamentally allergic to "fence-sitting" because it translates to moral equivalence. From Washington's view, you cannot balance without equating US values with Russian or Chinese ones. India's attempt to be "friends" with all sides runs into this US red line.

Correct. Among these unserious people -incompetent apologists for the Quad, who kept spinning while serious folks raised red flags - 3rd rate hucksters like Colby - US and JP "hawks" who sought to recruit India in a war over Taiwan While PH/FOIP was paid lip service.
Isn’t there a good case to be made that not only are their hoards of unserious people on all sides but that in many cases they start to influence the decisions to various degrees?
42
The US and JP "hawks" overplayed their hands with talk of India opening a "2nd front" against PRC in a Taiwan conflict. India never addressed its core NatSec dysfunctions, a lack of grand strategy, that no external balancing can compensate for. And then DJT2.0 happened
Weird take. If anyone in Washington thought India was going to be America's proxy against China, they were delusional from the start. And if anyone in India thought the U.S. was just going to walk away from a relationship with China wholesale, that was pretty bad analysis too. But I don't know any serious folks on either side who believed either of those two propositions.

Meanwhile in India, many folks are able to rightly conclude that US suffered a strategic defeat but even some of our better commentators struggle to accept that so did India in Op Sindoor. A blood-feud will make you foggy headed.
If I had said "Japan in 1941-1942 shows why operational successes do not amount to strategic victory," I doubt people would be upset. Apply this to Iran, and people both left and right get bug-eyed. This is why war colleges use historical cases: To foster dispassionate analysis

Iran's grasp of IW far superior to ours. Strategic.

Why are INC handles, so vociferously engaged in smearing CJP, so tepid on RaGa's Kota rally? It smacked of event management, didn't have a sharp focus on Prashan's resignation and lacked the feel of a mass protest. But we will see. Let RaGa deliver on "mass mobilisation"

Bewakoof.
Hitting Iran’s nuclear and missile sites was the right move. This regime chants death to America, murders our troops, and attempts to assassinate Americans on U.S. soil. They believe they have an obligation to destroy us. Now, we plan to unlock billions of dollars and lift sanctions, with the promise of even more money. They will use that money the way they always do— to further their nuclear ambitions and on terrorist proxies against us. It’s a huge mistake to pay to rebuild the threat we just destroyed.

All the PRC commentators who are very concerned and empathetic about India's problems and how it made the wrong choice by choosing US over PRC.
Who will help is if US attacks us?
37
Agreed.
Prime Minister meets his so-called good friend President Trump in Evian. Both leaders give a public statement. Prime Minister makes NO mention of the killing of three Indian seafarers in the Gulf of Oman as a result of a US attack. Only President Trump takes questions. He replies to a question on the killing of the Indian nationals. Self-styled Vishwaguru still keeps quiet. Pathetic and totally unacceptable.
