The only UK politician willing to take a stand on this
Elon Musk can say what he likes about me but I won't stay silent whilst foreign tech billionaires, money earned off the backs of real workers, try to interfere in our democracy, incite violence in our communities and tear apart our country. Time for him to pipe down.

This is the kind of thing that was said about the Jews in the 1930s. It is not hyperbolic to say that degrading an entire culture leads us to a very dark place. Reform are playing with fire right now trying to stop themselves being outflanked by the extremists of Restore.
Some cultures are MUCH better than others.

Patti LaBelle attended Philly Pride and revealed why she thinks she is so loved by the LGBTQ community "I guess it's because I'm the original drag queen [laughs]. I don't really know but I'm so honored, and I've never, ever felt that the LGBTQ community has questioned Patti LaBelle and her love for the LGBTQ community."

She knew she would face huge backlash. She loves that. She's a narcissist. Our outrage is fuel for her. A monster.

Something is very wrong with Laverne Cox.
Speaking on The View on Monday, Laverne Cox has revealed why she ended her relationship with her ‘MAGA Republican’ police officer boyfriend after more than three years together “The political affiliation became obvious but I already had feelings for him and I wanted to see him as a human being beyond that. And then his politics and his unexamined life became clear after the three and a half years and I was like, ‘I love him, but I love myself more,’ and staying in this relationship, I’ll betray myself.”

Never confuse talent with intelligence.
Idris Elba revealed to GQ that a large part of the public would not accept a Black man playing James Bond “Bond is big all over the world. And audiences won’t [all] go for a Black male, an African male, playing Bond. That’s not what they like in their culture. Bond is so unrealistic, so a hint of reality is good, but let’s not try and make it woke. I think you’ve got to be pure to what it is: escapism. Don’t try and answer the world’s taste. Just be Bond.”

The Art Directors Guild, IATSE Local 800 #adg800 has issued a statement on Martin Scorsese’s recent promotion of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI): "Mr. Scorsese, The Business is not in flux. Oscar winning director Martin Scorsese is turning his back on the human artists who throughout his career have helped him create his most memorable works. In the recently released Black Forest Labs video promoting their generative AI product FLUX, Mr. Scorsese asks the question, “how do you communicate what you see in your head to your cast and crew?” He claims the solution is the use of this generative AI program to do the jobs that are rightfully the jurisdiction of Art Directors Guild Local 800 artists and designers - human artists and designers who have been successfully collaborating with directors to visualize their films for decades. Mr. Scorsese's promotion of a generative AI product circumvents the input of Art Directors Guild Local 800 art directors, graphic artists, illustrators, production designers, scenic artists, set designers, and other talented Union professionals. Generative AI is only capable of producing this type of “cinematic intelligence” by ingesting large swaths of copyrighted work, likely scraped from the internet without consent, credit, compensation, or transparency. The skills of Art Directors Guild Local 800 artists and designers bring the highest level of value to any film or television production. To think their professional contributions can be mimicked or outshone by generative AI, which is built on work likely stolen from them and many other artists from around the world, is a betrayal of the collaborative nature of cinema."

Hollywood’s favorite story: the broke outsider who self-financed an $80k movie on credit cards. The receipts: a ~$1M elite education, $330k in grants on her prior film, and a father - a Chinese real-estate and equity investor - credited as an executive producer. I call it “poorface.” New piece: open.substack.com/pub/hollyw…

What is a star?
Wentworth Miller’s coming out remains one of Hollywood’s most meaningful moments because he used a film festival invitation to make a statement about dignity and human rights. By publicly declining the event as a gay man, he turned a private truth into a powerful act of courage, giving hope to people who needed to know they were not alone.
