Küresel Tarımın Geleceği Antalya’da Değerlendirildi 🌍🌾 Antalya’da gerçekleştirilen CGIAR Yönetim Kurulu Toplantısı kapsamında ülkemizi ziyaret eden uluslararası heyet, Genel Müdürümüz Sayın Dr. M. Altuğ Atalay’ın katılımıyla TAGEM’e bağlı Batı Akdeniz Tarımsal Araştırma Enstitümüzü (BATEM) ziyaret etti. 🤝 Ziyaret kapsamında, enstitümüzde yürütülen araştırma ve geliştirme faaliyetleri hakkında bilgi paylaşımında bulunulurken; iklim değişikliğine uyum, su verimliliği, sürdürülebilir üretim sistemleri, biyolojik mücadele uygulamaları ve yenilikçi tarım teknolojileri alanındaki çalışmalar yerinde incelendi. 💧🔬 Genel Müdürümüz Sayın Dr. M. Altuğ Atalay, TAGEM’in ülke genelinde faaliyet gösteren 49 araştırma enstitüsü ve yaklaşık 2.600 araştırmacısıyla tarımın geleceğine yön veren çalışmalar yürüttüğünü belirterek, uluslararası araştırma kuruluşlarıyla geliştirilen iş birliklerinin küresel gıda güvenliği açısından büyük önem taşıdığını vurguladı. 👤✨ Ziyaret sırasında BATEM’in; bahçe bitkileri, narenciye, örtüaltı yetiştiriciliği, tropikal meyveler, bitki ıslahı ve biyolojik mücadele alanlarında elde ettiği başarılar ile geliştirdiği yerli çeşitler hakkında heyete bilgi verildi. 🌱🍋 Enstitünün sahip olduğu güçlü araştırma altyapısı ve saha deneyiminin, uluslararası ortak projeler için önemli fırsatlar sunduğu ifade edildi. 🎯🫱🏼 @TCTarim @tagemgovtr @CGIAR @ICARDA

Working together with farming communities and partners, ICARDA and @CropTrust have released climate-smart durum wheat varieties that can better withstand heat and drought while delivering the quality farmers and consumers value. انطلقت اليوم بمسقط أعمال ورشة العمل الافتتاحية لمشروع إدخال وتقييم ونشر وتقديم خدمات استشارية في مجال استخدام التقنيات الحديثة والذكاء الاصطناعي في إدارة المزرعة وزيادة الإنتاجية وتحسين جودة المنتج بدول مجلس التعاون الخليجي، بمشاركة ممثلين وخبراء من دول مجلس التعاون والأمانة العامة للمجلس والمركز الدولي للبحوث الزراعية في المناطق الجافة (إيكاردا). ويأتي المشروع في ظل التحديات المتزايدة التي تواجه النظم الزراعية والغذائية في دول الخليج، وفي مقدمتها شح الموارد المائية وارتفاع ملوحتها، وارتفاع درجات الحرارة، وتدهور خصوبة التربة، ومحدودية الأراضي الصالحة للزراعة، إضافة إلى الاعتماد الكبير على استيراد الغذاء. ويهدف إلى تعزيز الزراعة الذكية والتحول الرقمي عبر توظيف التقنيات الحديثة والذكاء الاصطناعي، بما يسهم في رفع الإنتاجية وتحسين جودة المنتجات الزراعية، وترشيد استخدام الموارد الطبيعية، ودعم استدامة القطاع الزراعي والأمن الغذائي في دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي.

كما استمع الوفد إلى عرضٍ تناول التوجهات المستقبلية للمديرية ومشاريعها البحثية الاستراتيجية الهادفة إلى تطوير القطاع الزراعي وتعزيز الأمن الغذائي والاستدامة في سلطنة عُمان.
