📌 The @ICJ_Asia, together with @EarthRightsIntl, the International Human Rights Program at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law (@IHRP_UofT), and a community member from Kyauk Phyu Township, filed a complaint with Canada’s National Contact Point concerning the role of Canadian company Hatch Associates Ltd. in a major infrastructure project in Rakhine State, #Myanmar.
The complaint raises concerns regarding the environmental impact assessment process for the project in a conflict zone, including the absence of meaningful consultation with affected communities amid ongoing armed conflict and widespread human rights violations.
