We have won bids for schemes through DEFRA to add resilience to our networks. Our Operational and Meica teams have been able to deliver these schemes within the consortium along with our contractors in a very tight window. The hard work from all members is greatly appreciated.

Last winter over 600 pumping stations operated by #InternalDrainageBoards worked flat out during the wettest winter on record. In Lincolnshire alone they pumped in excess of the 1.3 billion cubic metres of water. That's 10 Rutland Waters! #BackBritishFarming 🌾

Interesting views on revising the NPPF In respect of economic damage, life & health, it will be interesting to see if specific planning policies to ensure appropriate FLOOD RISK MANAGEMENT are strengthened & prioritised over other important, but less critical planning polices.

May look dull, but simply put,an ability to raise fair local taxes for Internal Drainage Boards must be at the apex of local priorities. No other local service, be it schools, roads or healthcare are able to function underwater. IDBs - Managing flood risk in about 10% of England
