In 2025, AI-driven scams surged 1,210% and deepfakes were involved in more than 30% of high-impact corporate impersonation attacks.
The verification methods that worked until now cannot keep pace with the threat. That’s why @IDme is upgrading how we protect members.
We are rolling out two changes across verification pathways:
➡ First, duplicate checks to catch repeat fraud. @IDme will compare each new selfie submitted during verification against a secure gallery of previously verified selfies — inside @IDme's environment only. This is similar to what DMV’s do today and stops fraudsters from trying to create multiple credentials.
➡ Second, every remote proofing pathway will now involve a short video selfie check for Presentation Attack Detection (PAD) to confirm a real, physically present member is on the other end of the camera.
Together, these upgrades harden our defenses against tactics being deployed by both individual fraudsters and organized crime rings. @IDme will continue to protect its members and strive to leave no identity behind.

At ServiceNow Knowledge 2026, @IDme participated in the session, "Autonomous, Human Government: CRM Built for the Mission," which showcased what modern enterprise eligibility looks like end-to-end.
Together, @IDme, Servos, @Accenture, and @ServiceNow are partnering with states on an enterprise eligibility solution. @IDme ensures applicants are who they say they are—keeping fraud out while seamlessly letting eligible people in.
This enables constituents to access benefits faster and more securely while allowing caseworkers to spend less time chasing fraud and more time serving families. It also gives states a path to modernize eligibility programs.
New federal requirements under HR1 won't wait. States need to get serious about modernizing now—and @IDme is ready to help.
