Minister @CKombos had a courtesy meeting with the new Ambassador of Ireland to Nicosia, H.E. Ms Sarah Hamilton @IEAmbCyprus. The Minister welcomed Ambassador Hamilton to Cyprus and wished her every success in the fulfillment of her new duties.
The excellent relations between 🇨🇾 and 🇮🇪 were reaffirmed, as well as the steadfast dedication to further expand and deepen bilateral cooperation and coordination, particularly in view of the upcoming Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU #cy2026eu.

Today I had a constructive exchange with the newly appointed UN SRSG Mr. Khassim Diagne. We discussed Ireland’s ongoing support for @UN_CYPRUS and our shared hopes for progress towards a peaceful resolution of the Cyprus issue. I wish Mr. Diagne every success in his new role.
