I recently witnessed a rapid tiebreak match between Hardaway Brewington and Cristobal Henriquez at the @elllobregatopen, which was an exemplary display of sportsmanship. The players exchanged a few courteous words, and it took the loser just an instant to turn a look of disappointment into a warm smile to congratulate his opponent.
As an organizer, I value this professional attitude far more than a certain rating threshold next to a name. I look forward to seeing @IMBrewChess and @GM_Henriquez at more events!

Recently finished 5th in the Bavarian Chess Championships 🇩🇪 with a 2596 performance and 4.5/5 in the Icelandic League 🇮🇸 with a 2778. Live rating is now 2544. Big credit goes to Evren Ucok for supporting my chess career 🙏

Won the Fujairah Masters section with a 2696 performance and gained 19 FIDE rating points moving up to 2522. I want to thank the organizers of the event for the great conditions which made the experience very enjoyable!

Ended up on 6/9 gaining 4 rating points at Abu Dhabi masters. Happy with my play besides round 3 when I was totally winning and round 6 when I made an inexplicable blunder at the end. Fujairah starts today where I hope to do better

Pleased to win the Abu Dhabi Blitz with 10/11 despite the early draw in round two. Also gained a lot of blitz rating this month should be up to almost 2570. Still 2 more classical games followed up by another 9 in Fujairah, but this is a nice confidence boost.

After a couple mediocre events, I am glad to get 2nd at the U.S Junior Championship. Of course it would be nice to get 1st, but I feel I played good chess overall and fought my hardest every game. Thank you @STLChessClub once again for inviting me and hosting a great event!

Despite my slow start with two draws vs lower rateds, I finished joint first at the Princeton Open. It is a decent result, but I had a golden opportunity in the final round to win so I could've won clear first. Despite the disappointing finish I still won $3000 5 FIDE rating.

Had a tough last 2 games in World Blitz, but still gained 62 FIDE Blitz rating points. Overall it was a great experience playing all these strong grandmasters and I am grateful to have had this opportunity to play in such a prestigious and strong event!!

Had a solid performance in the World Rapid scoring a score with 7/13 and also getting the opportunity to play against Magnus!! I gained 229 Fide Rapid Rating points since I was very underrated with a rating of 2180. Blitz starts today!!

I recently just finished playing in the NYC Fall GM Norm Invitational and ended with 6/9 gaining 8.9 FIDE Rating Points with a 2565 performance. The important thing is that after 4 rounds I had a live rating of 2500.4 which means that I am now a Grandmaster-Elect!

I just got my final GM Norm at the 2024 Sants Open! My FIDE Rating is now 2489 which means I need 11 more points to become GM! This is the first time I’ve played outside the U.S in a few years and it was a great experience. Thank you @SantsChess for hosting an incredible event!

Finished on 5/9 in the U.S Junior Championship. I threw away 3 winning positions so I could’ve done much better. I have two more tournaments this summer and I’m now 2471 FIDE. Thank you @STLChessClub for the opportunity and I hope to be back next year!

I am excited to say that I will be playing the U.S Junior Championships in Saint Louis! I was lucky to receive the wildcard to this very strong and prestigious event! I played in the Summer Chess Classic and had a great time. I’m excited to come back! @STLChessClub #USJuniors

I just finished tied for 3rd at the 2024 Summer Chess Classic with 5.5/9 and gaining 9.1 FIDE Rating Points. I want to thank the @STLChessClub for giving me this opportunity and providing great conditions. I am excited to come back in the future!

I just got my 2nd GM Norm at the 2024 NY Winter GM Norm Invitational. I gained 27.7 FIDE and had a performance rating of 2668. The quality of my games was not great and I was pretty lucky throughout. Me and my opponents made many mistakes and I was just lucky that it worked out.

I just got my first GM Norm at the 2023 U.S Masters! I scored 6/9 (4W-4D-1L) and 8 of my opponents were GM level players. My FIDE rating is now 2435 which also makes me an IM! As always I am grateful for the great organization of the @CLTchesscenter and hope to be back in 2024!
