The smoking ban, educational campaigns, and associated tax policies changed the nation’s health. We need a similar proactive, preventative approach to address muscular weakness. #weightsnotwaitinglists #healthyireland #fit4life #strong4life

Your mind and body are connected—take care of both through exercise.❤️ Exercise is nature’s antidepressant.😊 Gyms provide more than a place to work out—they offer a remedy for our hectic lives, a space to move, sweat, and build social connections.

Gyms have changed. The no. 1 reason people join a gym is to get fit & healthy. Over 55% of people using a gym are over the age of 35. If you are thinking of returning or starting your fitness journey there’s a gym for you. Plus, it’s a great place to make friends #fit4life

400,000 people in Ireland battle loneliness, a silent struggle that intensifies with age. According to TILDA, over 38% of individuals aged 50 and above feel lonely often or occasionally. Gyms are now more than just places to exercise. They are vital hubs of connection and support

Fully agree with @niallmoyna . That is reason the IPAA are lobbying government to recognise physical activity as an essential healthcare measure and to launch an national education campaign on the importance of physical activity and resistance training @SimonHarrisTD
Considering the negative impact of bed rest on almost every organ system, it is fantastic to see the medical profession embracing hospital based resistance training, particularly among the elderly.
