Drawing on science-based evidence and implementation experience, Abinash highlighted the importance of mainstreaming climate resilience into urban planning, strengthening ecological stewardship, and fostering meaningful citizen participation to build sustainable and climate-resilient communities. New evidence published in Nature Health shows that Rajasthan's Cash Plus approach, combining maternity cash benefits with social and behaviour change communication, can significantly improve maternal nutrition and reduce low birthweight at scale. The Cash Plus model was developed, implemented, and evaluated through a collaborative partnership involving the Government of Rajasthan, the Children's Investment Fund Foundation (@CIFFchild), and IPE Global. We are encouraged to see the findings being shared by the Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan. The results highlight the potential of government-led programmes, strengthened through strategic partnerships and evidence-based, integrated interventions to deliver measurable improvements in maternal and child nutrition at scale. The Atmanirbhar Panchayat initiative by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj continues to strengthen the vision of financially empowered and self-reliant Panchayats across India. On 9th June 2026, an Outreach Workshop on the Atmanirbhar Panchayat Programme was successfully organised at Gandhinagar, Gujarat, bringing together Panchayat representatives, ,Senior officials from MoPR, officials from Government of Gujarat, and financial institutions like NABARD and HUDCO. The workshop connected eligible Gram Panchayats and Block Panchayats across Gujarat, enabling broad-based participation and engagement.. The workshop focused on presenting the vision, objectives, and operational framework of the Atmanirbhar Panchayat Programme. Key sessions included the national roadmap for Panchayat-led economic development, a live demonstration of the Atmanirbhar Panchayat Portal, discussions on financing opportunities, and an interactive dialogue with Panchayat representatives. The engagement reinforced the importance of creating sustainable, bankable project, and scalable revenue-generating initiatives that can strengthen Panchayat Own Source Revenue (OSR) and accelerate local economic development. We take pride in sharing that IPE Global Limited is supporting this flagship initiative as the Technical Agency (TA) for the Panchayat Revenue Enhancement Cell (PREC). At @IPEGlobal , we work closely with state Departments of Women & Child Development (WCD) to strengthen the last-mile delivery of maternal cash benefits. On June 2, 3 and 5, 2026, in collaboration with the Department of Women & Child Development, Himachal Pradesh, we facilitated a District-Level Master Trainer Training on the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) across Shimla and Chamba. The trainings brought together district- and block-level functionaries to create a cadre of Master Trainers who will further strengthen the capacities of Anganwadi Workers across the state. Hands-on sessions on programme updates, beneficiary management processes, and the scheme’s digital platform, participants were equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to guide and mentor frontline workers, support accurate enrolment, facilitate timely benefit disbursement, and strengthen service delivery for eligible women across the state. Strong frontline systems are critical to ensuring that eligible women receive timely maternity benefits and support during pregnancy and early motherhood.
