We are saddened to learn of the death of Lili Pohlmann, a Holocaust survivor & activist for PL-Jewish relations. A remarkable person whose life story & recounting of Righteous' deeds touched many. Thank you for all you did for PL-UK-Jewish ties. RIP.
Our condolences to the family
The only U.S. National Park I have visited that has bricks and glass instead of forests, mountains, or canyons - but definitely worth seeing. Kościuszko was a hero of two nations and a champion of human rights who donated money to redeem slaves.
Happy Sunday, and a big shout-out to our Polish American friends in the city of #Philadephia! 😊
We dropped by to check out the Thaddeus Kosciuszko National Memorial, where the 🇵🇱🇺🇸 national hero lived during the American Revolution!
On 16 March the Library, @uclhjs & @IPJSPOLIN will be hosting a virtual symposium, in honour of Prof Antony Polonsky, bringing together established and junior scholars researching the Holocaust in Eastern Europe.
