IPSTC hosted a delegation from the Senegalese Defence Institute as part of their International Study Tour, led by Brigadier General Abdou Latif Kamara. The delegation received a briefing on the Centre’s mandate, programmes, and activities, followed by insightful discussions.
The visit concluded with a commemorative tree-planting exercise and a group photo, symbolizing the enduring partnership and shared commitment to advancing peace, security, and professional military education.
Our Director, Maj Gen Mwazighe, hosted a delegation from the Army War College Nigeria (AWCN) led by Brig Gen BU Ugbuji. The delegation received an IPSTC brief & engaged in discussions on potential areas of collaboration.

IPSTC staff bid farewell to the Head of E-Learning, Simulation & ICT, Lt Col Balmer, as he completed his tour of duty at the Centre. The Director IPSTC, Maj Gen C L Mwazighe commended Lt Col Balmer for his dedication, professionalism, & exemplary service throughout his tenure.
Lt Col Balmer expressed his gratitude to the IPSTC staff for their unwavering support and cooperation during his time at the Centre.
IPSTC wishes Lt Col Balmer success in his future endeavors and thanks him for his valuable contribution to the institution.
HC @AdarshSwaika1 met Commodore SP Patel and Brigadier SPS Chouhan on their successful completion of the NDC course in Kenya. The officers debriefed the High Commissioner on the utility of the course and their enriching experience in Kenya.
High Commissioner also welcomed Major Sachin Soni who recently joined the International Peace Support Training Centre (IPST) as an Indian Military Expert Instructor.
These professional military exchanges and capacity-building programmes will further strengthen the growing India–Kenya defence partnership.
India remains committed to deepening its partnership with Kenya and supporting regional peace and security initiatives.

The workshop reinforced the importance of partnerships, dialogue, & evidence informed decision making in advancing sustainable peace & security efforts, while further strengthening IPSTC’s role as a regional hub for peace & security research, training, & policy engagement 🤝📚.
🌍 The Security Sector Reform & Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration (SSR & DDR) Level 1 Course is underway and equipping participants with the knowledge and skills needed to support sustainable peace, security sector governance, and post conflict recovery.
Sponsored by the Government of Switzerland through Swiss International Relations for Defence, the course has brought together 26 participants from Switzerland, Comoros, Zambia, Kenya, Uruguay, Pakistan, Somalia, Sudan, Tunisia, Rwanda, Egypt, Botswana, Ethiopia, and Mozambique.
👏 Officially opened by H.E. Mirko Giulietti, Ambassador of Switzerland to Kenya, the course highlights the growing impact of international collaboration in advancing global peacebuilding efforts.
