We estimate that the financial cost of clearing the current backlog of postponed operations in @NHSEngland is ~£1.3bn. This could increase to over ~£5bn by March 2021 as the reintroduction of elective surgery will be gradual. medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/… (Pre-print. Not peer-reviewed)
13 Jun 2020
Our modelling analysis suggests that ~750,000 operations may have already been postponed in @NHSEngland due to COVID-19, which could increase to ~2.2 million by March 2021 as elective surgery is gradually reintroduced medrxiv.org/cgi/content/shor… (Pre-print. Not yet peer-reviewed).

Amazing effort by all investigators. Thank you for all the hard work. With just over 600 participants left to recruit, let’s aim to finish before August!
We are proud to say that over 85% of the @prismtrial total recruitment target has been reached ✅ the gap is narrowing between the actual and target recruitment lines...#finalcountdown 🏆
