The 500 in 500 plan is working—278 people now have permanent housing, and 200 additional beds are available to our unhoused neighbors this winter.
Every person deserves the right to dignified housing. I’m grateful to the City & County for continuing to support this mission.

Pittsburgh’s Eliza Furnace Trail encampment has officially been closed, city officials announced today.
People who used to reside here have been transitioned into more stable housing as recently as this weekend through the 500 in 500 program @TribLIVE

Colin Gray, the father of school shooter Colt Gray, has been arrested in connection for the tragedy at Apalachee High School.
Colin bought the AR-15 for his son months after the authorities were alerted to the threats Colt made and had told him his son didn’t have access to his guns.
He has been charged with 4 counts of involuntary manslaughter, 2 counts of second degree murder, and 8 counts of cruelty to children.
