I am the 3rd generation of a story that should have ended in Poland in 1939, or in a Nazi concentration camp. My grandfather Olek survived the Holocaust, concentration camps and death marches, only to die from a hand injury in Israel. 37 years later, my father died from a nearly identical injury.
