Completely true, pronouns are not a privilege! They are sex-based, noted by the observer, and I "revoke" them from no one, regardless of disagreement. I just use them accurately.

If you have never chosen between decent sanitary protection/a basic, waterproof layer in your knickers, I am happy for you.

But our girls deserve better, better than the childhood some of us had. Period poverty IS real to those of us whose parents spent sanpro Β£ on addictions / rent / food / heating. Period poverty is real to those of us who prayed no-one knew our knickers were stuffed with loo roll.

Femininity is a gender. Women donβt have to be feminine & not all women have the same relationship with femininity. All women, however, are adult human females. There are many reasons to classify humans by sex & you have no right to dismantle or shame another womanβs boundaries.

Prepare yourself, because it hurts to read. I sobbed, and sobbed and sobbed - and still I know nothing of the pain of #FGM.
I stand with my sisters, and I will speak with them until there is #NoFGM.
