Many disabled people use computers/assistive technology to create and edit their work and somewhere around 0% of them need ChatGPT to write a story or make a poster for them out of whole cloth

There is also a lot of obfuscation going on to make "AI" synonymous with the worst generative AI slop rather than assistive tools like spellcheck, Grammarly, text-to-speech, auto-captioning, etc. x.com/gabrielledrolet/status…

The belief that disabled people cannot write without the help of a computer feels far more ableist than being against AI. If someone has the desire to write and tell stories, they are likely able to improve on their own or with help from real, human people

I remember when a computer didn't automatically connect to the internet, it used to make a screaming noise. We should have listened.

This is a good point. But the Alien is acting on behalf of the company. So it's in accordance with corporate policy, and I think this
The problem with the Alien movies is that much of what the titular alien does is against the law

Like, really, it's the astronauts getting in the Alien's way who are contravening management directives, and I don't think they set a very good example

This is a very big deal⤵️ A Musk election interference effort that tricks people in swing states into thinking they've registered to vote. Read/ share.
NEW: Billionaire Elon Musk has created a PAC collecting voter data from those living in key states through an online "register to vote" form that does not directly register people to vote. All of this in an effort to help Donald Trump become president. cnb.cx/3A9hEMv

I guess they went with #TOTheCore because "to the bone" was too on the nose for a team being sold for parts?
