In our latest meta-study, we use #MICCAI as an example. We analyze the impact of image segmentation experiments at MICCAI, as they are popular (~ 30% of all papers)!

Is there a general (positive) relationship between the relative representation of a group in the training data and model performance for that group?
One of the questions we set out to answer in our #MICCAI2022 paper.
TL;DR: No. The relationship is complex and domain-dependent.
