Let's try this again. Universe of Energy, a 🧵
I wanted to do this because I really think Universe of Energy was the most underrated EPCOT pavilion, no thanks to an underwhelming 1996 rehab that overstayed its welcome.
The actual substance of the attraction's content besides the Dinosaur diorama was nothing to look back on. But everything else, the complexity of the ride system and effort behind show quality is captivating.
Opening day attraction, 1982. It was actually one of the first structures to go vertical along with Spaceship Earth.

Were any of our followers also at the event where they turned Spaceship Earth into the Deathstar for Rogue One or am I the only cool guy here? 🤔

This Back to the Future The Ride footage is a small sample but shows how high quality the source is.
C'mon @UniversalORL, scan the film negative and get some modern projectors or better yet, LED screen to show this, it's an easy out of the park home run.

Some very strange music choices in these. Spidey, Shrek, Earthquake, JAWS all use John Williams' score from The Cowboys.

Last year a reddit user u/EPCOThistory found a source tape for a projected clip that was used in the 1994 version of Spaceship Earth during the descent. This could be seen in the park until 2007.
Really reminds me of Cyberspace Mountain from DisneyQuest which opened in '98
