It’s amazing how much AI film has changed in 18 months. Back then, you had to be creative just to tell a story. Nowadays, you need a creative story to tell. After my documentary on Robert Smalls was picked up by @fairground_tv for distribution, I knew it was time for an update. There were so many shots where I had to compromise. 18 months ago, I was just excited to get some moving specs that kind of looked like people. The bar has shifted. Thanks to @dreamina_ai, the most important skills is now how well you can direct a virtual camera that can do almost anything and how well you can direct what happens inside the frame. Almost the same skillset you need to create traditional film. We can literally fly into a 200-year-old image and bring history to life. The technical barriers are dropping every day. In my latest Van Gogh study, I’ve been obsessed with the Van Gogh's Langlois Bridge. For Vincent, this wasn't just a structure; it was a symbolic crossroads where he blended his Dutch heritage with a growing fascination for Japanese woodcuts. He returned to this scene over and over, producing four paintings, two drawings, a watercolor, and a sketch.
