I'm excited to share our latest research on #3Dprinting PLA/CaP scaffolds, highlighting their impact on #angiogenesis and vessel maturation for better #boneregeneration. We evidence how controlled geometry, porosity, and calcium release make a difference. doi.org/10.1016/j.bioadv.202…
ALT Development of 3D-printed PLA/CaP scaffolds aimed at enhancing bone regeneration by promoting angiogenesis. At the top, a bone cross-section with blood vessels highlights the aim: "Scaffold's local release triggers cell recruitment, angiogenesis, and bone healing." The process starts with two materials: Nanoparticles (NPs) synthesis (depicted by a beaker and particles) and PLA (Polylactic Acid) (shown as a cylindrical container). These materials are combined in two steps: Solvent displacement after printing and Solvent displacement during printing (marked with an asterisk), both illustrated by extrusion nozzles. Outcomes include Material characterization (grid structure), In vitro effects on hMSCs (cells on scaffold), and Angiogenic potential in vivo (implant in a mouse model), showcasing the scaffold’s ability to support blood vessel formation and bone healing.
