Since June 2025, Scotland's liberation movement Liberation Scotland is active at the UN. It's very new and progress is spectacular by all means for this type of endeavour. Spectacular. The whole decolonisation process has started and its speed depends on many factors. But I don't think the right question is how long but how can I support and help Scots understand this is Scotland's right and this is the way colonies use to be free: decolonisation at the UN. Should be faster than the SNP in power for over 20 years with zero results. Scotland's liberation movement has participated and intervened in UN decolonisation meetings several times, organised two events including indico.un.org/event/1019338/…; at the UN headquarters and in Geneva and just now in Managua, Nicaragua. A report submitted directly to the UN Secretary General and the UN Human Rights Council is in the UN system now officially stating Scotland is an English colony written by a major Chinese NGO with Liberation Scotland and partners with a special consultative status with UN ECOSOC. China is a UN Security Council superpower and today the most influential state at the UN. These are tremendous achievements. Once Scotland is listed as a colony and it will given annexation is demonstrated by Liberation Scotland with Professor Robert Black KC, an act of self-determination will indeed take place under UN supervision not Westminster, most likely a (real) referendum not a fake one like in 2014 which was a non-binding rigged colonial poll. International law is on Scotland's side. The English colonial state is illegally blocking Scotland's right to self-determination under international law, an right UN Independent Expert and former foreign Minister of Greece Georgios Katrougalos said Scotland had in international law in an inalienable way.

In fact the so called referendum failed on every measurement of an international referendum and yet over 50% of actual Scots (not 2nd home owners, Non Scottish students or military, temporary workers etc), voted for independence.
