Advance of Southwest Monsoon 2026
❖ The Northern Limit of Monsoon continues to pass through 18°N/60°E, 18°N/65°E, 18°N/70°E, Harnai, Solapur, Hyderabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Kalingapatnam, Paradeep, Baripada, Purulia, Dhanbad, Muzaffarpur and 28.3°N/83°E as on 13th June, 2026.
❖ Conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon into remaining parts of Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, some more parts of Odisha and some parts of South Chhattisgarh during next 2-3 days.

India's StartUp ecosystem comprised only around 350–400 StartUps in 2014, but overnight picked up after PM @narendramodi's call from the Red Fort, and has today expanded to nearly 2.3 lakh StartUps, making India the world's third-largest StartUp ecosystem generating over 24 lakh jobs.
50 per cent of India's StartUps are now emerging from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. (i) पश्चिमी विक्षोभ के प्रभाव से उत्तर-पश्चिम भारत में आज भी वर्षा गतिविधियां जारी रहने की संभावना है। इस दौरान गरज-चमक के साथ 50-60 किमी/घंटा की रफ्तार से तेज़ हवाएं चल सकती हैं। इसके बाद मौसम में कोई महत्वपूर्ण बदलाव होने की संभावना नहीं है।

लखनऊ में नव स्थापित क्षेत्रीय मौसम विज्ञान केंद्र (RMC) के उद्घाटन अवसर पर माननीय राज्य मंत्री ( स्वतंत्र प्रभार ), पृथ्वी विज्ञान मंत्रालय, डॉ जीतेन्द्र सिंह ने उत्तर प्रदेश में मौसम विज्ञान अवसंरचना के पिछले एक दशक में हुए अभूतपूर्व विस्तार को रेखांकित किया।
उन्होंने बताया कि वर्ष 2014 की तुलना में आज राज्य में डॉप्लर मौसम रडार, स्वचालित मौसम स्टेशन, वर्षामापी यंत्र और बिजली सेंसरों की संख्या में उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि हुई है।
इस सुदृढ़ नेटवर्क ने मौसम पूर्वानुमानों को अधिक सटीक, स्थान-विशिष्ट और प्रभाव-आधारित बनाया है, जिससे किसानों, नागरिकों, आपदा प्रबंधन एजेंसियों और विमानन क्षेत्र को समय पर जानकारी प्राप्त हो रही है।
माननीय राज्य मंत्री ने यह भी कहा कि बेहतर मौसम सेवाएं लोगों के जीवन को सुरक्षित, सुगम और अधिक सक्षम बनाने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा रही हैं।
