#Bengaluru Industry outreach was marked by a highly enriching roundtable, where representatives of some of India’s leading business houses as well as MNCs came forth with candid views and some very constructive ideas about how best to go about in scaling up the private engagement in deep tech and globally relevant indigenous ventures. The @narendramodi government is open to inputs from all quarters and we realise the importance of reinforced synergy between public-private sectors in order to achieve the target 2047. #RISE_Conclave2026

#Bengaluru: Delivered inaugural address at the #RISE_Conclave 2026 (Research, Innovation, StartUp Entrepreneurship' Conclave): Key Takeaways: "The basic objective of the RISE Conclave is to bring together the four pillars of Research, Industry, Start-ups and Entrepreneurship on one platform, to facilitate  collaborations among #StartUps, industry, investors, academia and policymakers for long-term sustainability. India's StartUp ecosystem comprised only around 350–400 StartUps in 2014, but overnight picked up after PM @narendramodi's call from the Red Fort, and has today expanded to nearly 2.3 lakh StartUps, making India the world's third-largest StartUp ecosystem generating over 24 lakh jobs. 50 per cent of India's StartUps are now emerging from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. Entrepreneurship is accessible to individuals with commitment, passion and technological aptitude, regardless of their location or formal educational qualification. We have consciously ventured into sectors that remained underexplored in the past. The government is also very forthcoming in engaging the private sector in a big way, because an integrated approach is essential for achieving global standards. Space and biotech sectors are two examples of rapid economic growth after accelerating the PPP model".

@narendramodi @mygovindia @PMOIndia @DrJitendraSingh @OfficeOfDrJS @Indiametdept

Addressed the faculty and students at #IIT #GandhiNagar, Ahmedabad. Key Takeaways: "Recent science policy initiatives of the Govt of India are aimed at democratising access to research funding and opportunity, for overall ease of research. The Anusandhan National Research Foundation #ANRF, whose Governing Body is chaired by PM Sh @narendramodi, seeks to ensure that financial and technical support reaches institutions beyond the traditional centres of excellence. India's research ecosystem draws strength from its diversity by bringing together expertise from science, humanities, social sciences and traditional knowledge to address national challenges in a holistic manner. Last decade has been the decade of science and technology, when India increasingly emerged as an active participant in frontier technologies. The initiatives such as the National Quantum Mission and India AI Mission are creating new opportunities to contribute to the country's technological advancement. Emphasis ought to be on early industry linkage in research programmes. The collaboration with industry should begin at the stage of conceptualisation itself rather than after the completion of research, enabling smoother technology transfer and alignment with societal needs".
