Yawuru way - my Dad is a Banaga wamba (man), which automatically makes my non-Indigenous bibi (mum) - Burungu. Ngayu Barrjarri jarndu (I am a Barrjarri woman). Barrjarri call all Banaga men of their Dad’s generation ‘gugu' (Dad). My wuba (children) will be Burungu 🖤💛❤️

In 2021, women and children from Napranum Community joined together to #write and #illustrate the book in English and Thaynakwith language. The story beautifully documents children’s experiences of being on Country with family and Elders.
