What an incredible response and engagement for our @InfectInspect project on @the_zooniverse . #CitizenScientists have worked through more than 200,000 classifications in less than a week 👏👏

Our volunteers have done fantastic work! In the first day, 114,000 images of E. coli were classified by about 1,000 volunteers. 😳 These data are invaluable to our project. Thank you all! 🙌 [plot: total #zooniverse classifications (blue) vs a single volunteer (red)]

A blue line shows the increase in classifications from 0 to 114,000. The rate for the first 6 hours is about 10,000 per hour. After that the rate is a bit more than 3,000 per hour.
