Huge congratulations to my @InsectGroup student @jonny_timperley who successfully passed his viva yesterday! Jonny's MPhil thesis provided first insights into how oil palm cultivation in #Liberia affects arthropods and their ecosystem functions. @CamZoology@JesusCollegeCam
New blog post on the @CambridgeAfrica website by @benedictusfree1 and me, outlining our palm oil-related project in Liberia. Many thanks to Cambridge-Africa for supporting our collab. research over the last year!

First day of #SCCS2023, and it feels a whole week has passed! Such amazing delegates, plenaries, talks, posters... also the most diverse conference I ever attended!!
(I promise I'll take better pics tomorrow) @CamZoology@CCI_Cambridge
Are wildlife documentaries too focused on mammals and birds? 🐘🐦
New @CamZoology research has found that nature documentaries are portraying a biased view of the natural world, and invertebrates aren't getting enough attention...

Wrapped up my first month in the @InsectGroup at @ZoologyMuseum looking at 100 year old dead things! So excited to get back into working on sustainability in oil palm (and hopefully some sneaky acoustics too!)
