Windows 11 is coming October 5th. Designed to empower you to produce and inspire you to create. Pumped to see what you do with it! blogs.windows.com/windowsexp…
Windows 365 has been announced. Enterprise only cloud PC service that’s designed with security in mind. Supports Windows 10 & will support Windows 11 after the latter releases later this year.
Alright, can easily confirm xCloud on Windows will support touch controls as XCloud_SupportedInputs_Touch stares me in the face. Unsure if this was announced or not.
Seems like the Windows version of game streaming might support touch controls too? There's a folder full of svg files for d-pad controls that are identical to the ones used on mobile. Not finding the rest of the controller just yet though.
Lots of xCloud resources in the Xbox app right now, even if it isn't enabled yet everything needed for it to work seems to be there. File names in order: RemotePlayTV.png, xCloudController.png, xCloudNetwork.png, and xCloudModuleForeground.png.

The really fun secret to menu animations? Button animations are free. Attempts to animate so much of the rest of an operating system have to really be scaled down or else you’re going to be waiting too many extra seconds for that flyout to appear, but go ham on the button for it.
Expect some more tweets from us than our usual six months of silence. Again, can't promise up-to-the-minute breaking news, but I'll definitely try my best to keep you all posted on as much cool stuff as I can. And if you find something interesting, feel free to send it our way!
Until we have the website back up I think I’m just gonna tweet out news from the @Inside_Windows account like this. Not the same as blogging but it’s not like 40% of news bits actually need that extra click-through for info anyways. Can’t guarantee I’ll be too quick though.
Want to check out the new Edge design on Windows 11? Enable #edge-pc-ui-integration in edge://flags in Edge Canary, and be sure to check and make sure it's up to date. Only works as of today's update.
The titlebar background is mica and the flyouts/menus are acrylic, doesn't seem to be any fancy hacks this time around. Only menu that's left unchanged is the one for right-clicking the titlebar, which also happened to be the first one I tried. Just Canary Things™️
Okay, looking into this a little more and it should go without saying: the application does need to support the Microsoft-Edge link type since MS doesn't let you manually select an exe in the app selector anymore. Wonder if this can be changed in the registry or something?
Figured out how to get Windows 11 search to work with your browser of choice btw, you just need to change the application which handles the Microsoft-Edge link type.
