Yes! Or at least keep in mind that we did not have the opportunity to apply when evaluating our CVs! Thanks for speaking up! #ImmigrantScience @InternationUS
Training grants from the NCI or other NIH institutes should open to all trainees. Never understood why trainees who are not US citizens or permanent residents, but have a legal visa for training, are not eligible. This needs to be fixed.

A not-so-little side note: some #Travelbans are still in place, so all my empathy goes to whom still cannot reunite with their loved ones. Again. Pandemic sucks, but government non-science based decisions suck even more. 3/3

US imposing new #TravelBan to eight African countries. Deeply sorry for the African immigrants in US that will live this nightmare again. Also, 2 years of bans and still not enough to convince the gvt that these are not the best scientific solutions?🤬 reuters.com/world/us/us-impo…

More supports we are receiving in our call to waive the stupid #travelban Policies should be based on individual travel-risk assessments, not base on our visa status. #VisaHoldersAreNotTourists @Nature @InternationUS @shome_u nature.com/articles/d41586-0…

While many in the US are going back to live their normal life, these are the challenges that we are still facing as visa holders👇@InternationUS
Many international students, postdocs (and some faculty) have it extra difficult right now because they cannot leave the US and visit family & friends in their home country, which they likely haven't seen for years. Think it's important for PIs in the US to know about this.
