If the price isn’t exorbitant you have to pull the trigger here. We have Horvat and Barzal as a nice one-two punch at C but we’re seriously lacking in wing talent. Kyrou is a massive upgrade from what we currently can roll out.
ALT After a successful 12-year partnership, Sportsnet and CBC today announced the public broadcaster will no longer carry NHL broadcasts after the current season as it moves forward with a new sports programming strategy following the unprecedented success of the Milano/Cortina Olympic Games. Watching hockey on Saturday night is a time-honoured tradition for Canadians, and Sportsnet is privileged to continue delivering that tradition. This has been a terrific partnership, and both parties look forward to continued opportunities to collaborate in the future.
I can't believe how many Red Wings fans don't see this.
The way Larkin absolutely flourishes and wins somewhere else will be the last indictment of Stevie Y's failed tenure running this team.
Spicy take here but I can’t be mad at it.
Also, he had an incredible playoffs especially the final 2 series.
Congratulations Jordan Staal and Hurricanes.
That didn’t taste good.
"Some guys just jump ship"
Jordan Staal talking about staying in Carolina and grinding until this Stanley Cup win.
Gotta be a shot at Mikko Rantanen / Jake Guentzel #SoundTheSiren
I’m guessing they’ll need to retain about 2 million per year to get this done.

He’s not as bad as ppl make him out to be but his contract is awful and his d-zone awareness is his Achilles heel.
We absolutely should. #Isles
He has the dynamic offensive ability that were a little short on up front. 70-80 points a year.
Remember kids, there is no rebuild and Deboer didn’t sign a 4 year deal to become a part of one. Just get on board already.
Not every trade deadline conversation dies at the trade deadline.
#STLBlues Jordan Kyrou & #Isles is a good example.
This always felt more like a summer story than a deadline one.
And, well... @TheElmonters ⤵️

In a heartbeat. Im not even as high on Kyrou as most. Guys, the NHL isn’t the NFL. It’s pick 13… not 1st overall and you have the chance to add a 70-80 point wing.
How is this a question?
Just thinking about the cumulative effect of going up against this top 9 would have on our opponents. Outstanding depth and a nice combination of speed, skill and physicality. #Isles
Sources: The Edmtn Oilers are consulting with the NHLPA to see if there are objections that must be resolved before potentially hiring Mike Babcock. Amid allegations of invading players privacy, Babcock resigned in CBJ as Head Coach in 2023. Further investigation may be required.
With essentially a one-year McDavid window, the Oilers hiring a guy who hasn't coached an NHL game in 7 years and got fired from his last job before even stepping behind the bench would legitimately be one of the most insane management decisions of all time
If Yzerman is smart he’ll play hardball and demand AT LEAST a 10 team list that Larkin is willing to go to.
He signed a contract, if he really wants out of Detroit that badly he will need to be more flexible and give Yzerman and #LGRW a fair shot at getting a fair return.
Bingo! You can’t demand a trade and then tie the GMs hands behind his back by limiting his options to 3 teams, lol. He will have to expand that list unless one of those teams steps up with a fair deal which they are unlikely to do.
