A few more thoughts on #Isles/Barzal and #NYR/Larkin as the rumor mill gets churning:
-- Talked to a couple folks who might know and it sounds as if #Isles are willing to listen but not being aggressive on Barzal. Not sure what that means exactly, but I'd guess two places that might interest Barzal -- SEA and VAN -- could put offers together. Lotta ifs.
-- As for #NYR, I'd wager GMCD has had at least one chat with Yzerman about Larkin. If this is as far along as it seemed with the reports earlier, there's been talks going for a bit. All in Larkin's hands with a full no move, but he's exactly what the #NYR would want at the moment.
-- Is Larkin what they need? Especially if you have to give up a decent prospect plus other things to get it done? Hard to say, but if there's a big-name top-6 player available, they'll be taking a swing. Book it.
-- More chatter will be spilling out post-combine. That's the only place GMs are face to face anymore ahead of the draft, so could be some trade stuff in the works.
