This is good, but feels far more influenced by the Abramovich situation than by Saudi & Qatari takeovers:
👉 No policy on state/proxy ownership
👉 Annual due diligence for Owners?
👉 Human rights abuses based on UK govt sanctions - presumably Saudis & Qataris then pass the test?

Huge surprise!
A country that doesn't guarantee equal rights for women or the LGBTQ community is an unpopular sponsor for a Women's World Cup where a significant number of players and fans will be LGBTQ .

The work in #Qatar is far from over. The tournament is finished and the public eye is elsewhere, but many of the workers who made the #FIFAWorldCup possible are still owed compensation. We are continuing to put pressure on #Qatar and #FIFA to ensure justice for exploited workers.
