Launched the Strategy for the Extension of Social Protection Coverage to Workers in the Informal and Rural Economy in Kenya. This milestone in the Social Protection sector , shows commitment of the Government in ensuring all Kenyans live in dignity and exploit their human capabilities as envisioned in the Constitution of Kenya.
Extending social protection coverage to workers in the informal economy is a priority under the Bottom-up Transformation Agenda and a key factor in building a comprehensive, adequate, and sustainable social protection system for all Kenyans.
