I mean, who doesn’t think AP-1 is a central player? We agree 😁
Apparently it's AP-1 controls cellular memory week. Congrats @chris_cowley14 ! I guess I convinced you AP-1 is so interesting that you never need to work on anything else again... science.org/doi/10.1126/scie…

Please join me and @Mkg_Lehmann for a great session on #extracellularvesicles at American Thoracic Society #ATS2026 MTE4 details below: “Small but Mighty – Extracellular Vesicles in Lung Health and Disease.” Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are emerging as key mediators of cell–cell communication in the lung. They enable long-range signaling between structural, immune, and even microbial cells and may contribute to organ–organ crosstalk. At the same time, their precise mechanistic roles in chronic lung diseases remain incompletely understood. MTE EVs In this session, we will discuss how EVs contribute to diseases such as IPF, COPD, and COVID-19, and explore methodological aspects including EV isolation strategies and multi-omic approaches for their characterization. MTE EVs 📅 Sunday, May 17, 2026 ⏰ 10:45 – 11:45 AM (EDT) 📍 ATS International Conference More information and registration: 🔗 lnkd.in/dk8nfgcF #ATS2026 #ExtracellularVesicles #LungResearch #COPD #IPF #CellCommunication #EVs @Vesiculab @exokeryx

Minus the ‘and providers’ yes, you are correct.

If we fined insurers and providers $100 every time they over-billed, incorrectly denied care or misrepresented any amount of patient out of pocket, we could pay of the national debt They play on the fear and information asymmetry that exists in healthcare Break them up. Make them divest non insurance companies. And when we are done with the insurance companies , we go to the hospitals and then to the pharma wholesalers. Break em up. Make the markets efficient again.

New Cell paper from the team that discovered glymphatic clearance (how your brain removes waste during sleep). Sleep hours DIDN'T predict brain cleaning. Neither did REM or deep sleep. They found what actually matters - and why some sleeping pills might undermine it 🧵

I recently learned that the novelist, Cormac McCarthy, spent several years at the Santa Fe Institute helping scientists write papers. His advice was condensed into a brief Nature column. The first three points, and some of the final points, are really good. (h/t @eryney_ok)
