The cacophony of voices warning the government about the rising wave of youth unemployment continues with arguably the nations most successful retailer, Simon Wolfson of Next. So few MPs have a background in business they have little knowledge of the thin margins most businesses operate on or how the ‘zero hours’ contracts they demonise are usually a sensibly agreed compromise which meet employee and employer desire for flexibility.

This is appalling. There must be consequences for crime. Rapists must go to prison.

The Conservative Party is clear: if you want to spread hatred and violence towards Jews, you are not welcome in Britain.

Antisemitism is not new but it is becoming more visible and violent in the UK. We must not accept it as inevitable. Sending ‘thoughts and prayers’ after each incident doesn’t cut it. There must be action: To confront the hatred head on. To keep Jewish communities safe. To take robust action against offenders.

Jewish people in our country are under constant attack. This is no longer a growing pattern. There is an epidemic of violence against Jewish people. It is now a national emergency and needs to be treated as such by the Government and public authorities.

Starmer is clueless on shoplifting: • It’s already a crime to assault someone (whether retail worker or not) • Transferring low value (<£200) cases from Magistrates to Crown Court will increase Court delays • His sentencing changes mean shoplifters will almost never be jailed

This is an important result for policing. Live Facial Recognition technology works and has appropriate safeguards. Wanted criminals being nicked is a good thing and keeps the public safe.

This morning, I visited the Jewish community in Golders Green and the site of the appalling antisemitic attacks on the Hatzola ambulances. Those responsible must be caught, imprisoned and if they’re not British citizens, deported We can no longer tolerate calls for Jihad and Intifada on the streets of London. These are calls for violence which fuel antisemitism - and must no longer be allowed
