Ministers claimed they didn’t know the damage their changes to business rates would do. That’s not an excuse. If you’re a Minister making a decision on tax, you’re given analysis on what it’ll do. Labour either didn’t listen or didn’t care: full U-turn now.

This is a ‘Sputnik’ moment when we wake up to the need for sovereign capability (as well as strong UK - US relations). Britain has the smarts to stay in the pack of top, well defended countries. But not on the basis of its current course or spending on defense and resilience ⬇️
This is a disaster for Britain. Falling embarrassingly behind whilst our socialist government pitifully recreate a 1970’s fantasy of state-owned trains and steel making. We need an intense focus on sovereign capabilities in advanced manufacturing, drones, space and AI.

The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

They’ve gone completely mad. Labour want to ban you from putting in a gas fireplace or a heated towel rail. It’s Miliband’s insane energy policy that’s pushing up energy prices. He should pay the price, not ordinary Britons.

A bombshell for Keir Starmer. He’s lost his Defence Secretary and Armed Forces Minister, because he’s too weak to stand up to his own Cabinet. It’s time for this Government to make some tough choices, cut welfare, and fund our defence.

💥NEW STATS: As a consequence of high energy costs, Britain’s balance of trade is going from bad to worse. Lower oil exports and no longer manufacturing at a competitive price is the issue, not as some misattribute, leaving the EU’s political union.

And another one. We can’t defend ourselves with welfare. Fund the DIP, not the DWP!
🚨Breaking news‼️ To govern is to choose. If you prioritise welfare not war fighting, Motability not missiles this is what you get.

Kemi Badenoch was a wow with entrepreneurs and investors at Founder’s Forum today. Our plans: cheaper energy, better regulation, lower and simpler taxes, flexible employment and backing the risk takers and wealth creators.🚀

As UK Space Minister - working with @jcartlidgemp - I tried to beef up our UK dual-use, sovereign space capability. Without this, our nation is naked in the face of hostile action as per this Russian space offensive below.
Four Russian military satellites altered their orbits and maneuvered into close proximity with ICEYE-X36, a commercial synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite linked to intelligence support for Ukraine. Read more here:meduza.io/en/cards/four-russ…

It can’t go on like this. Pub landlords, hoteliers, café and restaurant owners are hurting. This socialist Government is taxing hospitality into the ground. We have to end this anti-entrepreneur way of ‘running’ the economy.

BREAKING: We have a youth unemployment crisis and Labour's new anti-jobs quango is on a jolly to Uzbekistan! They’re focused on more rights for migrants and “promoting migration” while 1 in 6 young people here can’t find a job. They’re letting Britain down.👇

They're not even hiding it: they've proudly published a read-out this afternoon. This brand new Labour quango has barely been around for a few months and it's already more focused on immigrants than our own young people. Labour just don't understand the job's crisis their tax rises and red tape have created.

This is sadly not unexpected. It’s the anti-jobs quango working as intended. I set out the problems with the “Fair” Work Agency, including its odd pro-migration focus on day one Conservatives will scrap this mad body.👇
Labour’s "Fair" Work Agency launched this week. It might look like just another quango, but don’t be fooled. I’ve been through the documents. This is an anti-jobs regulator with Stasi-like powers of search, arrest, and surveillance. Here's Labour's next job killer... 🧵

It’s never been harder for bright young Brits to find work. The government’s own tax changes are driving firms and entrepeneurs abroad. Labour are literally creating a two-tier jobs market…and guess who they are putting in the slow lane for work?

The Great British Pub is in Labour’s anti-business sights. Ministers are waging war on hospitality. They can’t stand entrepreneurs taking risks and being successful. I’ll be speaking about how they should change course at UK Hospitality’s conference today.

Britain needs a government on the side of enterprise, growth and risk takers. Let’s be one of the most prosperous countries, not one of the most in debt. That’s the message I’ll be taking to CPAC GB.
BREAKING: Andrew Griffith confirmed for CPAC GB. 🇬🇧 Shadow Business Secretary, the Conservative Party. Speaking live at CPAC GB this summer. London. 16–18 July 2026.

The actual 'concierge' businesses are hoping for👇
I want to find the UK’s first trillion-dollar firm. That’s why this morning I've unveiled our bespoke concierge service to support businesses of the future to start, scale, and stay in the UK. When I say I’m aggressively ambitious in pursuit of economic growth, I mean it.

Shocking. We need missiles not Motability.
The Ministry of Defence needs an extra £28 billion by 2030. As it happens, benefits are set to go up by £40 billion between now and then. Yet still, Labour refuse to make ANY welfare savings.
