Adult cancers are valued more than Children cancers which is odd, bc if Children were given the same funding as Adults, they would have a better chance of survival to live long enough to become Adults. Adults are given 96% & Children are ONLY given 4% of #cancer research.

Feeling unsteady is not a sign of instability. It's often a path to progress.
Standing still feels secure, but gaining momentum to move forward requires tilt or sway. Walking is controlled falling.
Being in equilibrium breeds comfort. Feeling off balance leads to growth.

January 28, 1962: Neil Armstrong’s 2 year old Daughter died from #DIPG Brain Cancer. March 8, 2022: 99% of Children diagnosed w/ DIPG will not Live more than 11 months from diagnosis.

💔 #DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma), hasn’t seen ANY improvement in over SIX decades & has a near 0% survival rate. The average survival is just 9-11 months.

We made 77 new drugs for Adult cancers in only 6 years & it took 77 years to get 3 new #drugs for childhood cancers. Read it again👆🏼bc the more you know what a messed up system we have, the more you want to fight for our Children.

More Children are dying to #cancer than any other disease & in fact, more than any other childhood diseases combined. Despite these grim facts, #ChildhoodCancer research remains underfunded. If we don’t advocate for our Children, nothing will change.

Here we go again with report cards. Is it worth the time? I'm talking to teachers who are again writing report cards, they then have to read through another colleagues, then they are read by someone in admin. Is the time spent worth the information it provides?

When a Child is diagnosed with #DIPG the Parents are told to “go home and make memories with your child”. DIPG is terminal at diagnosis. We NEED to get LOUD & DEMAND better treatments for our Children! They are worth #MoreThan4
