Ringed a brood of 4 Reed Warblers just now, another 2 broods should be ready to ring over the weekend, and 1 pair still on eggs. Quality birds! #birdringing #nestrecording @BTO_Lincs @lincs

4am start this morning to find some Reed Warbler nests along a local section of the river Slea. Found 6, all will be monitored for the @_bto Nest Record Scheme and hopefully they don't get predated and the chicks will also be ringed @Lincsbirding

Just did visit 2 of the nest records to save any early starts on the weekend. Lost count of the nettle stings but all nests on a full clutch now, one nest has 3 eggs, the rest are clutches of 4. No predation yet thankfully, hopefully next week will see some chicks!

Nice to find Barney today @jfowlerandsons just south of @RSPBFrampton . Absolutely smashed the @_BTO ringing longevity record. He was ringed as a chick on 13th June 2007, so is nearly 17 years old. He's outlived at least four wives, and he and current one have 4 eggs.

Staying local can have its benefits - Male Bearded Tit ringed at Marston today @DJRBirder , almost exactly ten years after the only others ringed there (on 15/11/2010). Otherwise, was very quiet there today.

An interesting and unexpected movement of this Sedge Warbler I caught on the 11th August at Anderby Creek. Originally ringed just 4 days earlier at Holland Haven Country Park in Essex. A distance of 171km NNW! #birdringing @ParkLincs @Lincsbirding
