Today, we’ve published a report on the outcome of our public consultation on the proposed rules, standards and guidance that we’ll use to implement the regulation of physician associates (PAs) and anaesthesia associates (AAs). The report: - details the key changes we have made as a result of the feedback received - provides a comprehensive breakdown of all responses - addresses a range of broader issues raised during the consultation. We’ve also shared our findings with relevant bodies across the system to encourage them to act on feedback that relates to their areas of responsibility. We’re grateful to the over 3,000 individuals, including doctors, patients, the public, PAs and AAs and organisations from across the four countries of the UK who shared their views. We carefully considered all feedback, and this will help to make sure that our approach to regulation supports patient safety.
